How to create the PERFECT EYE
Before you begin to make up the eyes, apply the base make-up and powder the face
Apply some loose powder underneath the eyes – this will catch any fallen pigments from the eye shadow and protect the base make-up
Choose 3 eye shadow colours; a light shade, mid shade, and dark shade
Apply the light shade all over the lids and up to the brow bone using the eye shadow brush
Apply the mid shade in the crease of the lids, taking it just past the mid point of the lid, and bring the shadow down at an angle to meet the lash line, again using the eye shadow brush
Apply the darkest shade in the corners of the lids, cornering the outer of the mid shade, using again the eye shadow brush
NOTE: this is a typical contoured eye shadow look.  Your model’s eye shape will depend on what slight differences you might make when applying eye make-up in order to further enhance their features.
Using the angled brush, apply the eyeliner across the top lids, keeping it close to the lash line
Apply eyeliner to the bottom lash lines as well.  Do this by asking your model to look up and holding the brush carefully to place the eyeliner as close to the lash line as possible without getting it in your model’s eye
Finish the eyes off by applying mascara.  Use a disposable mascara wand and dip it in the mascara tube just once, so as to avoid double dipping and spreading any germs
To apply the mascara:
- Ask your model to look down, and comb over the lashes, getting right into the root of the lash
- Get your model to look straight ahead, and comb up and lift the lashes
To apply mascara to the bottom lashes, get your model to look up and move the wand back and forth along the lashes to give them some colour
When finished, wipe the loose powder away

How to create the PERFECT LIP

Before you apply colour to the lip, you must prepare it by putting Carmex or Vaseline on the lip
Begin by lining the lips
For the top lip; tilt your model’s head to the side and work from the corner of the mouth in small strokes back and forth until you have a smooth straight line up to the points of the cupids bow.  Then look at your model straight on and join the ‘v’ of the cupids bow in the middle of the lip
For the bottom lip; line the middle of the lip up with the top lip and dot the middle of the bottom lip.  Use small strokes back and forth along the bottom line until straight.  Then get your model to open their mouth so that you can draw a line from the corners of the mouth to meet the line at the bottom of the lip
Finish off by filling in the lip colour
